Definition & Essential Functions Under immediate supervision, set-up and tear down facilities for events, classes, programs, and public facility rentals.
Conduct light maintenance tasks at City buildings and grounds, and other duties as assigned.

As required, support all Department Divisions' programs, activities, special events, tournaments, sports and youth programming, as well as the overall Department goals as a whole.
May be required to assist in the preparation, set-up, and/ or staff in various support roles/tasks as needed for programs, activities, special events, tournaments, and/or sports and youth programs which are not part of daily scheduled/recurring activities.
Examples may include but are not limited to general cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning vehicle interiors, washing cars, lining fields, attend trainings, etc.

Knowledges, Skills & Other Characteristics Knowledge of: Basic construction and maintenance practices, methods, and techniques.
Building maintenance practices and techniques.
Customer service practices, skills, methods, and techniques.
Knowledge or ability to learn basic computer skills.
Skill in: Working outdoors in all weather conditions while performing vigorous physical activities.
Operating indoor and miscellaneous outdoor equipment, common hand and power tools.
Ability to: Follow oral and written communications and direction.
Follow established safety procedures and practices.
Perform assigned tasks with limited work direction.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently outdoors in all weather conditions while performing vigorous physical activities.
Ability to lift 50 plus pounds and move heavy oversized objects on a regular basis.
Ability to drive safely, effectively, following city policies and practices utilizing city vehicle(s) Ability to attach/detach pull behind trailer, light towers, trailers and other designated towable equipment not requiring special licensing Ability to drive safely, effectively, following city policies and practices utilizing a city pickup truck/vehicle designed for towing while towing pull behind trailer, light towers, trailers and other designated towable equipment not requiring special licensing.
Document completed procedures, scheduled tasks, and inventory control.
Perform and complete tasks independently on a daily basis and when required for special events or large projects work as a member of a larger team Establish and maintain effective working relationships with City staff and the public.
Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license required.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and move heavy oversized objects as needed is required.
Ability to work flexible schedules which will, at times, require early mornings, evenings, weekends, as well as holiday hours during certain times of the year on an as needed basis.
Knowledge of basic computer skills required (email, calendars, etc).
