Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS BY LEVEL:
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR III
Under general direction, responsible for activities related to system administration
Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work
Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization
Provides in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems
Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues
May resolve problems within established practices
Provides detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
Supports the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
Directs and possesses a working knowledge and understanding of systems administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Analyzes and resolves complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software
Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system
Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
I-IV: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
ITIL v4
IAT-II
Education/experience in one of the following: SQL, Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware, Linux
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED BY LEVEL:
III: 7 – 12 Years
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:
Sitting for long periods
Standing for long periods
Ambulate throughout an office
Ambulate between several buildings
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 25 pounds
Travel by land or air transportation 15%
