Please read this listing all the way to the end:
I'm selling my 2022 Ducati Scrambler 800 in black.
This is the first year with the hydraulic clutch, which is a big plus for smooth shifting.
Available as shown in the photos are a windscreen that makes a huge difference at highway speeds but does not interfere with clear vision of the road at trail speeds, and engine guards with folding foot pegs.
The bike now has a super nice Leo Vince exhaust (with the baffle in).
The engine runs sweet now with this system.
All parts taken off the bike are available to go with the bike when sold (s/a the engine through bolts that were removed to install the engine guards).
[Notes: The tank bag and seat pad shown are not for sale.
The stock exhaust system is not available as it had been removed by the original owner.
]
The price without these two accessories is $8995.
If you want the engine guards with foot pegs, add $150, for a total price of $9145.
If you want the windscreen, add $125, for a total price of $9120.
If you want both the guards and the windscreen, then the total price is $9270.
The bike was serviced this spring at 600 miles per factory requirements at GoAZ in Scottsdale.
It now has about 987 (as of Nov.
25, 2023) miles, and I'll continue to ride until it's sold, so that may go up a bit, but not lots.
I am the 2nd owner.
The cycle is absolutely perfect in every way, with no faults or issues of any kind.
Buy this and you get a brand new bike without the shipping, delivery, set-up and other dealer costs and the 600 mile service costs, all of which add up to a final price of more than $14,000.
I will deliver within about 100 miles (i.
e.
Tucson) for a fee that covers my costs to rent a trailer and make the trip.
I'd like to get this sold and buy a new or nearly new KLX300 or a CRL300L.
So, I'm willing to work with you on the price to some degree.
Payment will be in cash only.
Title is free and clear and in-hand.
CRITICAL NOTE: If you want me to work with you, you need to reply by the CL relay-email system with your full name and phone #.
Tell me if you want me to call, text, or email you.
Specify call times if you need that.
I pull my ads immediately at sale; therefore if you're reading this, it's still available.
Don't ask, please.
I recognize junk and scams pretty well by now.
If you want me to pay attention to you and not just ignore your message, you need to honor my request for full personal information as stated above.
SIDE NOTE: I was asked why I'm selling this.
At 72 years old, I'm not the young man I once was, and I'm not into highway riding any more.
I'm not strong enough to lift this if I drop it, so I don't feel I can ride it on dirt.
In 1974 I bought one of the first Ducati 750 Sport bikes.
I rode that for about 20 years, and of the 7 bikes I've owned, it was by far my favorite.
In the early 2000's, I decided to stop riding.
That was in New England, with all the issues there.
Now I'm in Arizona, my son owns and loves his Desert Sled, and I just had to try one more time.
This is an awesome bike, delivering what Ducati seems to do better than anyone else: A ride with spirit and feeling; not a sewing machine.
It rides beautifully and is, sadly for me, far more capable than I am now.
I will get a 300 dual-sport for the back roads and desert trails; but I'm off the highway for good.
