Job Title: Supervisor, Counselor and Clinical Staff Development
Reports To: Director of Behavioral Health
Job Summary: Supervises and develops the clinical development of staff in the Behavioral Health Department.
Salary Grade: 118 Qualifications and Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Essential Job Duties: Supervises and oversees the development of staff from a non-licensed counselor role to an independently licensed counselor role, in Behavioral Health Department, according to requirements, rules, and regulations of the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
Supervises and facilitates clinical oversight of behavioral health technician level of services at CCHCI which includes the Substance Abuse Mental Health Case Managers, Community Health Workers, non-licensed behavioral health counseling staff and anyone who would bill a T1016, H0004 and/or H0031 code.
Remains in good standing with their individual license and with requirements needed to provide clinical supervision according to the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
Completes CEU in a timely manner and ensures that all clinical staff are up to date on their CEU's.
Provides clinical education to the clinical team to include DSM IV, Intake and Treatment plan development.
Conducts and facilitates clinical staff meetings and ensures accurate documentation at all meetings and training to support any auditing of services provided.
Carries a small counseling caseload, size to be determined by need of the department.
Conducts intakes and assessments, provides appropriate diagnoses, develops treatment/case plans, and provides ongoing outpatient counseling.
Participates in applicable staff and leadership meetings.
Ensures clinical staff are in compliance with CCHCI policies and procedures.
Ensures clinical staff receive regular peer reviews and feedback to ensure proper documentation for insurance purposes.
Tracks and provides data regarding staff in the process of receiving independent licensure to ensure continued growth of work force and behavioral health program.
Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Required Qualifications - Education, Experience, Certificates & Licenses: Master's degree in social work Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Clinical Social Worker in good standing.
Board Certification in the area specific to the position being filled.
Two years of experience providing clinical supervision of non-independently licensed counselors according to state board requirements.
Two years of experience in a supervisorial role.
Two years of experience providing counseling services.
Current BLS.
Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Comprehends the AZ Board of Behavioral Health licensing requirements to be a clinical supervisor and providing clinical supervision for all levels of clinical staff.
Drivers License and Proof of insurance may be required if requesting mileage reimbursement.
Preferred Qualifications - Education, Experience, Certificates & Licenses: Administrative or executive leadership experience strongly preferred.
Required Language Skills: Ability to comprehend and compose effective instructions, correspondence and communications in English in both oral and written format.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, internal providers and staff and other agency staff working in cooperation with the organization.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally exert enough force to move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Ability to continuously remain in a stationary position.
Ability to constantly move about inside the workplace to assist patients, operate office or medical equipment, etc.
Possesses hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to constantly operate computers, telephone, and other office machinery.
Possesses close visual acuity necessary to accurately record and view information on a computer monitor, handwritten and typed documents.
Ability to discern the nature of sounds at a normal spoken volume.
Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Ability to skillfully gather and analyze data.
Ability to perform a variety of assignments and make decisions requiring considerable independent judgment.
Ability to resolve challenges and work under pressure.
Displays a high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to always maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
Knowledge of health care plans and community health centers.
Computer literacy is required with proficiency in use of all Microsoft Office programs.
Knowledge of Electronic Health Records preferred.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans.
Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
Ability to employ motivational techniques to train, mentor, and lead staff.
Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to build effective teams.
Work Environment & Conditions: Work environment is typical of a health clinic setting with occasional exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids and hazardous chemicals.
Work requires reliable transportation as the position requires frequent travel and extended hours to include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Work requires the ability to be contacted by cell phone during or outside of regular work hours.
Cell Phone stipend will be provided.
