Offers snacks when patient is awake and alert.
Educates patient on optimal post-care at home.
Counts narcotics at the beginning and end of each shift with the Pre-Op nurse.
Management of airway and ventilation.
Monitor cardiac function, arrhythmia recognition, and treatment of life-threatening emergencies.
Management of patient during altered states of consciousness.
Management of monitoring and respiratory equipment.
Management of fluid lines, tubes, drains, and catheters.
Administration of drugs and identification of drug-related problems.
Recognition of the actions and interactions of anesthetic techniques.
Adhere to all policies and procedures of the center.
