Summary: Performs individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and Scope of Practice Guidelines.
Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
This position may be asked to work at other NCCH-designated work location or sites as needed.

Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) or designated administrator.
Education and/or Experience:
Has completed the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program with an accredited school of nursing.
Experience in hospital or healthcare setting, preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current Unrestricted Arizona Licensed Practical Nurse License
Current CPR Certification (through American Heart Association)
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Thorough knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, and the nursing process and standards of care.
· Skills in basic nursing principles basic nursing care, and nursing documentation.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
· The ability to prioritize and apply critical thinking skills.
· Knowledge of HIPAA privacy requirements and medical terminology.
· Establish and maintain solid working relationships through communication, cooperation, and positive interactions with all patients/clients, employees, staff, providers, and vendors.
· Willingness to work a flexible schedule when circumstances necessitate.
· Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work independently with limited supervision.
· Strong customer service skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Positive communication skills; ability to successfully interact with all customers; continuous demonstration of courteous, cooperative and service orientated behavior.
· Supports and maintains a culture of safety, quality and positive patient experience.
