POSITION: Health Aide
REPORTS TO: Principals
JOB STATUS: Full Time – 10 Month
START DATE: Immediately

TERMS & BENEFITS: 10 month position, 40 hours/week; medical, dental, vision, life benefits;403(b); 10 sick days and 2 personal days; preschool/child care discounts; mandatoryparticipation in Arizona State Retirement System.
SUMMARY: Provide daily health services to students and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Provide basic first aid for minor illnesses and accidents.
Report and record information related to students condition on daily logs.
Consult with principal regarding serious injury or incident.
Operate the health office.
Maintain and update health records.
Perform clerical work.
Call parents regarding health related issues.
Accompany sick or injured person to their home or hospital when required.
Administer medications to students.
Assist in health screening such as: hearing, vision, and lice checks.
Assist in school immunization compliance program.
Compile statistical data for state reports as directed.
Maintains needed office supplies and equipment.
Assure neatness of health office, equipment, and supplies.
Report school health hazards.
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current First Aid and CPR certification.
CLEARANCES: Criminal Background Clearance and Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
