We are looking for a *qualified* Toddler Teacher who will be responsible for all aspects of the care and education for children ages 24 month to 36 months.

*Minimum qualifications required* *are:* 18 years or older, six (6) months experience in a childcare setting, and a high school or GED diploma.
Preferred qualifications include at least 12 hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education and/or development or an AAS or BA from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education and/or development.
*Applicants are required to have or obtain* a valid fingerprint clearance card, have documentation of a negative TB skin test within the last six (6) months, TDap and MMR immunizations.
Applicant must also have knowledge of best practices and educational methods as well as the ability to engage the children and earn their trust and attention.
The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education.
*Responsibilities*
* Develop an age-appropriate and creative program suitable for young children,
* Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.
) to teach children,
* Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem,
* Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments,
* Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts, etc.
),
* Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times,
* Track children’s progress with the Arizona's ITDG and report to parents,
* Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche,
* Collaborate with other educators,
* Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
*Skills*
* Proven experience as a Toddler Teacher (_6 months minimum_)
* Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and toddler educational methods
* Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
* Excellent communication and instructional skills
* Ability to act as mediator between children
* Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
* Balance between a creative mind and good judgment
* Certification in Infant/Child CPR and have a current Food Handler certificate.
